I would describe my approach as mindful, warm and supportive where you are seen as the expert in your world and my role being one of helping you see this too. It is important to me to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard and validated. Through an authentic and compassionate connection, I aim to foster an environment where you feel safe to explore, reflect and heal.
As a counsellor I place great value on being fully present which I believe is a powerful tool in navigating feelings of discomfort and uncertainty. I work with you to help process difficult emotions and then guide you toward creating meaningful and positive changes in your life. I am naturally empathic and gentle while also strengths-based, focusing on your resilience, abilities and inner resources. I believe that each person has the potential for growth and transformation and my goal is to help you tap into that potential.
I have a particular interest in working with a variety of life challenges including grief and loss, life transitions, stress, anxiety, self-compassion and mindfulness. Whether you're navigating a major life change, coping with loss or simply seeking a deeper sense of calm and clarity I am here to walk with you on that journey. I draw from a number of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). By drawing from these therapeutic modalities I tailor my practice to the nature of the issues you bring offering flexibility and adaptability in our work together.
I believe that the counselling process is collaborative and I am committed to supporting you in a way that respects your unique experiences and aspirations. Through our work, I hope to help you gain clarity, build resilience and move toward the changes you want to make. My ultimate goal is to empower you to feel more connected to yourself and to lead a life that reflects your true values and desires.
